Interior partitions make it easy to keep gear organized using multiple zippered compartments and a removable divider shelf. A zippered extension panel even enlarges the bag to fit treasures acquired abroad. Perfect for an African Safari trip

"I bought this model in Sequoia, a discontinued color for a steep discount. I used it for a 2 week, 3-country African safari trip in August and pleased that it worked out well. There were 3 legs to the flight from the US to Namibia and from Zambia back to the US, in addition to 5 flights on a bush plane. It got a little dirty but otherwise intact. The expansion really didn’t get me that much extra space and I was glad I used EagleCreek’s compression packing cubes for everything. We were allowed only 40 lb total including carryons and I packed about 27 lb into the suitcase. The zippers were a little unwieldy but tough. The exterior mesh bag was pretty much useless since I wasn’t using it for a roadtrip. I would have preferred an exterior pocket instead."

Beat the crap out of it for 6weeks!

"Bought last minute for my trip through Portugal, Spain and Marrakech because with 87 luggage options, LOL, I just did NOT have the right size! DEFINITELY heavier than I wish, but it was a rock star!! For the price, I would've been happier with different materials to lighten the load, but. . . . Checked on 6 Int'l flights. Multiple bus trips checked. Plus 14 days of daily manhandling as I walked 300k on the Camino de Santiago. 22 different hotels overall. Handles on the outside were awesome. Zippers were workhorses. Liked the interior pockets in the lid more than I thought. It's long enough, I would've liked a 3rd interior compression strap for all my crap. Wheels were great over cobbles, etc. The exterior zipper pocket wasn't useful since it is along the most full part of the bag and not large enough to be useful. Would've helped me to have had a useable zippered pocket along the top when the bag stood up. All in all, I'm thrilled with the bag and glad I splurged on it because the size was perfect to give me "creature comforts" on the Camino and a few options for my other weeks without giving me toooo much space for even more junk. . . . and it even still looks great!"

"This is our 3rd Gear Warrior XE 2 wheel 27" luggage. We bought two last fall for a trip to Chile and Antarctica. They were perfect for our needs: easy to pack, move and very sturdy. After our return, we gave one to our son, a tour manager, who was delighted. We quickly realized that we needed another and were pleased to see a discounted price on this. Easy purchase decision. These bags are heavy-duty, super practical and smart looking. They look so much better than the other bags on the baggage carousel."

Very nice but could use some improvements

"For the most part the gear warrior is great and does the job. However I was a little disappointed that the interior lining does not cover the bottom over where the handle rails are located. It makes the expensive bag look cheap and unfinished."

"Just returned from the first international trip with this bag. It held up very well, just showing scuffs and soil on the outside. The wheels handled cobblestone streets and the handle remained intact. I just wish the zippers weren’t so difficult, and that there was a large or long outside pocket."
