"I bought this bag for my recent trip to Africa, which required that I have a no wheels soft side bag. It was the right size for my needs."
"Overall it is very well made and nice details . Unfortunately it was a gift for my son and he didn’t need it . I bought the 60l and it would barely be an overnight size . My son is really tall so his clothes are bigger / shoe so he would have needed a much larger size ."
"This review is not for the current Cargo Hauler 60L Duffel Bag, but its predecessor, the Eagle Creek Gear Hauler (Backpack): 22 x 13. 75 x 9”. My Grear Hauler is the perfect size – as large as possible for the most restricted international flight carry-on. I used it as my only bag for extended trips to Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Madagascar, Viet Nam, 2X Brazil, Peru, Columbia, and Ecuador / Galapagos, when colleagues often had larger, heavier, hard-to-handle roller bags that did not roll on sand, gravel, and trails. I will use it for a planned S. Africa trip. On 2 occasions I delved into my stash of emergency supplies to help fellow-travelers fix bags that met an untimely fate. The bag is phantasmagoric and well designed: external compression, grab handles, stowable straps, perfect size, rugged, weather resistant, etc. Although I have no plan or need to replace it, I am disappointed it has been retired. Notably, the apparent heir does not have the perfect size (40L is too small and 60Lis too big) of my bag – so I would not buy it IF I needed a replacement."
"I chose this bag to use for a safari trip when I will be very limited for weight. The bag is sturdy yet light weight. will use packing cubes to stay organized because the divider isn’t adequate. Separate zipper pockets will help. The color is gorgeous!"
"Love the color, fabric texture and durability. Went thru storage in belly of plane and returned with very faint minimal grey scuffs - Great job!"
"My daughter and I got the 60L Duffels for African safari, perfect size and great that can be carried as backpack. Well made. Will definitely use again."
"This comfortable, durable luggage maintained its good looks despite occasional showers. Very pleased."
"We bought two of these to haul our scuba gear after extensive research on travel bag options. We valued the ability to pack it down to a small size storable bag when not in use, including on a live-aboard scuba boat trip or tiny hotel room. They work great, and following eagle creek traditions are well made. Please note they can tip over when standing upright fully packed. We did not find the length of the handle a problem as in other reviews. Do plan ahead and lean on something or lay down to avoid tipping. Items to improve: 1) add an internal pocket for small items, 2) a spot to securely hold an apple tag for tracking (this is really important when checking valuable items), 3) external dedicated spot for luggage tag/ personal information. Time to update, Eagle Creek. Everyone uses airtags these days. Overall, I recommend. Great, durable bag."
"Holds more than imaged. individual sections well designed. My astonishing sight was in unpacking the rather small size pouch into a nice sized duffle bag with handles and back straps. Kudo to designers"
"My duffle fits perfectly in the trunk of my Porsche."
