With TripSync, you can track where you travel whether it’s close to home or around the world. TripSync will then calculate your miles traveled based on the most direct route (see more below).
To track your travels, follow the steps below:
1. Scan your bag and make sure you are logged in.
2. From the home screen (Travel Overview), click the button to “Start Trip” before you check your bag or take off on your first flight. This establishes your trip starting point.
Once you start your trip, the buttons will change to “Add Stop” and “End Trip”. When you see these buttons, the TripSync app is tracking your travels!
3. Add Stops and end your trip using the buttons on the home screen. See below for when to use which features depending on your type of travel.

If you registered your bag, you can log in to your TripSync Account and mark the bag as lost. The finder of your bag will then see that this bag was marked as lost once the bag is scanned. There will be a button “Get in touch with the owner” that allows them to send you an email and get in touch. Together you can then organize how to get your bag back to you.

Anyone with an NFC enabled phone can scan the NFC module and therefore your bag. When you registered the bag the other person scanning can only see the information about the bag and the travel overview. They cannot add travel experiences and/ or register the bag as lost/ stolen. If you did not register your bag, the person could register it under their name and use the full functionality. Therefore, it’s always advisable to register the bag as soon as possible after purchase.
